This was a home kitchen renovation we did in Whistler’s Blueberry Hill. Almost everything in the kitchen was replaced or refurbished including all new cabinets, new appliances, new flooring, and new drawers. For the kitchen cabinets, we used vertical grain fir, which is already an established popular look among Whistler homes. The deep metal sink contrasts well with the light countertop and also accents the stainless steel kitchen appliances.
The custom built upper white cabinets match brilliantly with the existing tile backsplash and changes up the classic Whistler aesthetic by giving it a more modern feel. The kitchen area is fairly small, like many in Whistler, but the white cabinets and open wall concept make it feel big. For the shelves, in our cabinet boxes, we used thermally fused laminate, which is similar to melamine in look but much safer both for you and the environment. Plus, it’s the exact same cost so it just makes sense to use.
The drawers below the counter were made from pre-finished birch with metal handles that, along with the sink, accent the new kitchen appliances. All our drawers and cabinets feature slow closing runners and hinges. This high-quality cabinetry is provided as a standard for customers and is just part of why Advent Home Solutions has been successful among homeowners. We respect your home renovation vision and want to help make it a reality.
Outside of the kitchen, there are a few more cabinets including a glass drinks cabinet which helps open up the flow of the room and matches with the rest of the two-tone kitchen. Also added were recessed cabinets under the counter and on the wall outside of the kitchen. This helps utilize dead space around the house and adds a place for dining room storage.
We were happy to help this homeowner renovate their kitchen and thoroughly enjoy how it turned out.
