In short, we are a Custom Cabinetry & Woodworking business with a workshop in Invermere, BC … this is where we design, build & finish all our creations.
For us, the single most important element is to deliver what we promised & do it in a manner which earns your trust as well as demonstrating our passion for what we do. We operate the same philosophy with our suppliers who we have carefully selected over the years based not only on their skills and quality products but also because of their professional attitude.
We greatly respect that each and every homeowner has a vast array of choices available when it comes to selecting a professional to execute their vision. Ultimately our goal is to ensure you and your property are looked after and treated with respect at all times. We do not operate a “hard sell” philosophy as that is not how we like to be sold to ourselves.

Company owner/operator/designer – Barry Thomson
I came initially to Whistler from Scotland for a ski vacation in 2003 and forgot to leave (not really, but you know what I mean). I have a degree in Engineering & Industrial Design from Napier University in Edinburgh … which follows a family tradition of engineering & construction. My grandfather was a civil engineer, my father worked for the same construction firm for 35 years, him & my uncle built a couple of houses together, and I renovated 3 homes in Scotland before making the move across the water to BC where I started out by buying a run-down house in a great neighbourhood, completely remodeling the home from top to bottom & selling for a handsome profit. One thing that has not changed in the 26+ years that I have personally been renovating homes & building cabinets is a passion for what I do and the desire to always develop my skills.
As a certified Canadian ski instructor (teach part-time at Panorama Mountain Resort), snowboarder, keen mountain biker and hiker/runner; when I landed in BC 15+ years ago it felt like I was coming home … even though I had never been to Canada before. Having spent significant time traveling and living in the likes of Sydney, Paris, Meribel (French Alps), Amsterdam, London & San Jose (California), I have developed a diverse taste in architecture and design.
In December of 2018 I relocated (along with the cabinet shop) to the stunning Columbia Valley. I now live in Panorama and enjoy the short 18km commute to Invermere where our cabinet shop is now located. In the winter months you may find me teaching on the slopes of Panorama or from Spring onwards hiking and riding my mountain bike. Since moving to the Invermere area I’ve even tried curling … and loved it. We also tried cross country skiing with the Ski & Ride School … a super fun evening with lots of hilarious spills!
A little more about us …
Although I have a diverse background in home renovations as well as the occasional smaller commercial project, I now focus purely on cabinetry & woodworking projects out of my workshop based in Invermere, BC.
As well as being members of the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), we are strong believers in supporting local businesses wherever possible with our sub-trades being based in the communities we serve. Inevitably due to availability many of our products & materials are purchased from suppliers located further afield. We are also a Better Business Bureau accredited business with an A+ rating. As required for all contractors, we carry business licenses for each of the areas we operate in as well as full commercial liability insurance coverage for $2 million and of course WCB cover for our employees, as do any licensed sub-trades we may bring in from time to time as needed.
