Relocating cabinet shop to Invermere, BC

My new daily commute … Panorama Mountain Resort to Invermere. This was filmed a few weeks ago when things were somewhat chillier!

In December of 2018, just a few days before Xmas, we relocated home & cabinet shop from Squamish to Invermere, BC. 7 return trips & almost 14,000km of driving later we are finally settled and loving the new location & looking forward to serving the Columbia Valley communities as well as our client base in Squamish & Whistler.

So why so quiet over the last couple of months … well as you can imagine there’s a lot of different elements involved in setting up a new business & especially one with physical workshop space, never mind moving home at the same time. At this precise moment as I write there is an electrician completing the connections for all our workshop equipment in our new 2400 sqft space here in the business park in Invermere. I can smell fresh baked goods from the German bakery next door and as clouds continue to develop over the mountains which I can see from the office window, I am wondering if Winter has quite finished with us yet. For several days it seemed we were in total summer mode but I think Mother Nature has something else in mind.

What about our existing (and new) clients in the Squamish & Whistler areas well we can certainly still build your cabinets and in fact that’s exactly what we are working on for some folks. One of my previous crew has established his own general contracting business out of Squamish and so he is perfectly capable of taking on the project management and carpentry / install aspects … after all, this is what he was doing for Advent Home Solutions up until we moved the workshop. New name, same hands-on experience.

Once our doors are officially open in Invermere there will be another announcement … we still have quite a few finishing touches to arrange but we are taking orders for this coming season and beyond for those of you who like to plan ahead. There are some cabinet door samples already here as well as a plethora of finish samples.

Time to change that sign!
